Field Trip to Chicago

Dear Joshua and Luke,

On an unseasonably warm weekend in November we traveled to Schaumberg, IL to visit the Medieval Dinner Theater.  We met several of your classmates, their families, and Joshua's teacher's family for a fun evening at the theater.  We took along one of Joshua's friends from class which made this an extra special adventure to the windy city!

We arrived early enough to go for a quick swim at the hotel before the dinner show.  The Medieval Dinner show was amazing!  Horses, knights, a real jousting match.....  Wow!  Joshua's class had read Crispin in class.  A few weeks back the class enjoyed a Medieval dinner feast at school with many Medieval fixings.  It was so much fun.  The students work very hard in class.  It was great to see them enjoy their hard work while learning even more about the Medieval times.

Thanksgiving Memories

Cousins and BFF's Forever!

Dear Joshua and Luke,

I am back from my near three month hiatus from your letters.  I wish I had an excuse or some great story to tell you, but instead I have just been caught up in our wonderful life together.  No, not all of our moments are wonderful together, but we do have mostly great ones and so much to be thankful for.  I do not think I would ever go back and be able to write blog entries to go with all of the cool things we have been up to, but let me start here:

Thankfulness starts with our family.  We spent our Thanksgiving break with Uncle Luke and Aunt Amy's families.  This was loads of fun and was a great time to make memories with our family. Our families had extra time with Grandma and Grandpa as well.   We were blessed with time with Nana, Aunt Lisa, and Brennan as well.  The day started with the Gobble Hobble in Highland, church, and preparations for a yummy dinner here.  Yes, we were very blessed.

There is always time for one more game!
