Delightful in December 2014

St. Nicholas with
Joshua & Luke

Dearest Joshua and Luke,

We had a lot of fun at the St. Nicholas party at church.  This celebration is always extra special to our church family since our church's name is St. Nicholas.  St. Nicholas reminds us to take care of the poor and vulnerable people around us - the sick, older, less fortunate than us.  St. Nicholas also means fun for us.  We anxiously
await what St. Nicholas brings our stockings and the fun party at church.  This year St. Nicholas brought Pokemon cards and Life Savers.

BFF's
December also brought Christmas songs a a few piano performances.  Joshua played at the assisted living center where his Grandpa lives. Grandpa was so proud of Joshua playing the piano.  Of course, Luke charmed everyone with his contagious smile and candy canes.  Great Aunt Judy and cousin Dawn joined us for the performance.  We are very blessed with family.

Joshua also played at the nursing home in town.  This performance had a new twist in that the Cub Scout den sang songs while Joshua played the piano.  The Cub Scouts also played Bingo with the residents.  It was a great evening of fun and service with the boys
and their parents.

For the third year in a row, Joshua played piano at the Shrine while Luke gave candy canes to the spectators and passer-byers.  We are very proud of Joshua and his talent.  Joshua loves to perform and have people watch him, too.  I hope he continues to play and learn.  Piano comes very easily to Joshua and he enjoys playing.  It is difficult to get him to practice each week.  But he certainly has a talent. (And no, I am not biased at all.  :)   )

Introducing Joshua & Luke

Happy birthday!
December also brought Baby Brennan's first birthday.  Brennan shares a birthday with Grandpa which always makes it super easy to remember.  It is hard to believe that we are already celebrating Brennan's first birthday!   We celebrated with him and some friends at Chuck E. Cheese.  Brennan is an amazingly smart and sweet little boy.  He is surrounded by love and good people, especially his mommy and Nana.  (And again, no bias here.)  Our only wish for him is that he lived closer and that we could do more things with him.  You both are always asking about getting together with Aunt Lisa so that you can play with Brennan.  Aunt Lisa is very busy helping Nana with day-to-day things and raising Brennan.  We love them very much.

"Yes, I am happy it is my birthday!'

I love you both so much.

Love,
Mama
