This was our first time spending July 4th in Minnesota. The boys had lots of fun with their cousins as usual. The boys played most of the day and we went to church. Uncle Luke made some yummy fajitas (Wow...is he a great cook !~ and Aunt Lisa, too. They fed us so well!) As it got dark outside, the kids roasted marshmallows and made smores. We watched fireworks from the cozy three season porch. The cousins played, played, and played some more. It was sweet to watch Ethan and Joshua parade around the yard chanting "For our country, for our country, for our country" in their Uncle Sam hats and carrying their flags. Joshua also played on his new Spiderman scooter.
Happy Birthday, America! And thank you once again to those men and women who make our freedoms possible every day. We do not take what you do for granted.
